I made this ring after finishing Expedition 33. Black and gold are the game's main colors. I landed on crushed charcoal for the inlay. It's been used as pigment in paintings for centuries. A fire represents a major part of the game's story, and the entire story only happens as a result of that fire. Just like charcoal is the result of wood burning. It is also what remains after a fire, which I thought fit nicely with the game's themes of dealing with grief. I added pure 24k gold leaf scattered throughout the inlay, then added scattered pieces of synthetic red opal to mimic the flowers of the Gommage.Limited Availability Note: This ring uses a gold plated core.
