Would 100% recommend in all aspects Komi-San Must be Protected I booked a tasting and tour o n a whim as I was planning on trying to brew some mead for myself, and I must say it was an absolute pleasure, Tony was one of the most passionate people I have ever met, his love for his craft was felt throughout the entire experience, I sampled some of the most delicious meads I've ever tried, without a doubt a must experience for lovers of mead, it's history, and culture! Chelsea Wow!!! Amazing tour and delightful mead. Could not recommend the tour highly enough. We were taken on a journey through the history and mythology of mead, which was absolutely fascinating. The passion Tony and his family have for this craft is clear and completely infectious! We haven't stopped talking about it since and the four bottles we walked away with are going down nicely! The tour of the meadery was really interesting and helped me to understand the processes involved. The tasting was the pinnacle of the experience. We tasted so many delicious meads which led to us buying three bottles. A great way to spend an afternoon. Thank you. Wayne Had the pleasure of visiting Stone Circle Mead in October 2024 with my son. Tony opened up the unit and it was just my son and I enjoying the tour. From the very start it was clear that Tony was very passionate about mead and this came across during the tour. Firstly there was a talk on the history of mead as well as Tony's beginnings in the trade which were very interesting. Then a short tour of the brewery and how the mead is made from the honey to the labels on the bottle. Following this we were treated to a tasting of some of the mead that Tony and his wife had made. At least eight different meads were tried and none disappointed. We had vouchers which included the tour and a bottle each and my son then bought two further bottles. I now wish we had bought more as we had travelled from Manchester to avoid postage, but I'm sure my lad will get some delivered in the near future. During the experience we spoke as friends would in a pub and were made very welcome. I would recommend this tour for anyone interested in mead. Elliott What a fantastic experience!! I was searching the Web for mead (mead drinker here!) and came across this place. Didn’t know this place was so local. After going on through their website decided to book a tour for a group of five of us and the tour was fantastic. Learnt a lot about the history of the drink, how it's made, the works and tasting too. What I did find is that we wasn't rushed to get it finished and have a personal touch to it as well. I’ve been telling people I know about this place and the experience we had. Bought a few bottles from them and definitely going buy more, and hopefully book to try some more tastings too! Excellent local business and well worth going too. Lisa While on holiday we visited Stone Circle Mead. We went on a meadery tasting tour which was brilliant. Tony is so enthusiastic and passionate about mead and mead making. When tasting the mead I was blown away by the tastes. I fell in love with the Sweet Chestnut mead and the Pomegranate mead. Visit if you can or order from this small family run business. We got to taste test several different meads and they were gorgeous! We also had a really interesting history lesson and a chat with the owner who was the loveliest and most amazing person to listen to. We went well over our time slot because we were just having such a lovely time chatting, and I feel like I could sit and listen to Tony for hours! What an interesting person! And the mead!! We were greeted my a lovely gentleman and a cup of warm spiced mead, then had a amazing time being educated on the process of mead making and the history and the future they plan. I would highly recommend going for a tasting and buying directly from stone circle. Tony greeted us with a very warm welcome, a good look around and even let us have a taste of the different meads and recommended food pairings. There's a beautifully decorated interior too. Kathryn I booked the mead tasting experience for my partners Christmas present and we were not disappointed! When we arrived, we were welcomed by Tony, who offered us a warm cup of mead which my partner didn’t hesitate to accept. Tony was a very welcoming and friendly person who made the experience very enjoyable and informative. We walked away with 2 bottles at the end of the tour. Would definitely recommend. Murray An absolutely fabulous experience on the meadery tour. On a friends recommendation we went there. Hearing the history of mead was interesting and learning the process was great. I'll be mentioning this as a recommendation to everyone who goes to north Wales. An impossible to beat experience. The mead was smooth and nothing like cheap mead we had tried beforehand.
