Large green fruit, vigorous bush, mildew resistant. The fruit is tangy until very ripe and then is sweet (especially good if eaten sun warmed straight off the bush). Amazing flavou r when cooked in pies, or mixed with apples in crumbles. We have removed all of the buds up to 15 cm to reduce suckering and low branches, which can be a pain (literally) on these prickly plants. Gooseberries are a super easy to grow, in warm areas they can be grown under fruit trees in part shade. Cutting grown plants around 0.3-0.5m tall with great roots. Show more
