Presiding over the entrance to our most populous harbor is an unassailable stone fort. Built from granite blocks with years of rust pouring down the sides, this monument is synonymous with the coast of Maine. The Gorges quilt displays the geometric patterns of the fort set against the stark sea and moody sky. Congruent and minimalist, Gorges captures the timelessness of this Maine stronghold. Sizes: Little (40" x 40") Throw (60" x 60") Twin (70" x 90")* Queen (90" x 90") King (100" x 100") *Please note, in these sizes the design ratio will vary slightly to accommodate bed sizing. Materials: The Gorges Quilt is available with either a black cotton background fabric or a black cotton/linen blend background fabric. The cotton background will have a smoother touch and lighter weight. The cotton/linen blend will have a weightier heft and more textured surface. Both versions are made with additional cotton materials on the front, cotton batting and cotton thread. Colors: Black background alongside deep mauve, ice blue, sea foam, and charcoal stripe accents. Hanging Sleeve: Add a hanging sleeve to any size quilt for easy wall display. Simply slide a wooden dowel through the sleeve and hang on a nail or hanger of choice. Since the hanging sleeve is made from the backing fabric, when not on display, the quilt is still usable. Care: Machine wash cold on delicate and tumble dry low for a crinkly texture or lay flat to dry for a smoother finish. A warm iron may be used to press out wrinkles. Production: Each quilt is handmade to order in our studio in Maine, quilted by our partners in New Hampshire and returns to our studio for finishing: please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
