Demon Days is the second studio album from Gorillaz, released in 2005, and the record that firmly established Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett’s virtual band as one of the most inventive projects in modern pop. Building on the foundations of their debut, Demon Days expanded the Gorillaz universe through a wide network of creative collaborators including De La Soul, MF DOOM, Neneh Cherry, Roots Manuva and Shaun Ryder, blending hip-hop, dub, electronic music and alternative pop into a dark, cinematic soundscape. The album produced some of the band’s most recognisable tracks, including the Grammy-winning “Feel Good Inc.”, alongside “Dirty Harry” and “DARE”, helping turn Demon Days into a defining record of the 2000s.
