Gossip can be so destructive to friendships, classroom culture, and even the self esteem of your students. The first step to reducing gossip in your school is teaching your students what gossip is and what it’s not. When students have this knowledge, it will be easier for them to hold back from gossiping, and encourage others to do the same. In this activity, students will look at 30 scenarios and decide whether or not they are examples of gossip. They will be up and moving as they look through the scenario cards and record their answers on the answer grid.
