BEAT BACK THE COLD SNAP | Consciously Designed With Winter In Mind Winter running is rough on motivation. We've all been deterred in making that first step because of the cold. The Gotham Soft Shell gives you the comfort needed on those cold, blustery days when you're just trying to get your miles in. The front is comprised of a wind resistant double layer, along with an additional stretch of material behind the zipper, all to prevent the sudden wind gusts from temporarily freezing you in your tracks. The back layer provides for enhanced breathability and wicking as you move. On the interior, you'll find a comfortable fleece. Given the layers and protection built into the Gotham Soft Shell, we recommend this piece for those colder days below 35 degrees. This pairs well with the Palisades Long Sleeve and Prospect Tees to be work underneath as part of an effective layering system. NOT JUST FOR RUNNING When designing this piece, we had ultimate function in mind for the super cold days where a wool layer just wont cut it. You need a jacket. But what we found is that the entire team wore this around when not running as a jacket to accompany an active lifestyle up to 50-55 degrees. So whether you're running intervals or errands, the Gotham Soft Shell is a versatile jacket covering a range of uses and functions, with no detail, panel, or stitch erroneously laid down. It has become Team Bakline's favorite all around piece. Ideal Weather: Very Cold (Less than 25), Cold (25 to 45), Mild (45 to 65), Windy, Rainy Fabric: The front, sleeve, and collar panels are a composite fabric of 91% polyester, 9% spandex. The back, side and under arm, cuff, inside collar is and Italian Lombardia DWR fabric sourced from performance manufacturer, MITI, and is 86% nylon and 14% spandex. The surface of both are waterproof. Cut: Contoured Cut Top "Contoured" garments are generally designed for individuals with a more contoured torso, as the garment is constructed to contour chests and hips. If you regularly wear a sports bra, this cut may drape better than the straight cut. Its size bands and shape are commonly described or labeled by other brands as a "women's cut." The size you most expect to be, if reaching for a garment labeled as "women's," would be a helpful starting point. Bakline firmly believes that garments should be described with respect to how they are designed. Anyone, regardless of gender, can be comfortable and perform well in any of our cuts depending on your personal preferences, body shape, size, and style. To better determine your size, we've calibrated a size recommender and provided detailed fit guidance specific to each product. If we have not provided product specific guidance, we have a high level sizing page and you can always contact us via the Live Chat or by emailing Bakline Support for help.
