The Gothic Latch Black is a type of Suffolk Latch with stylish Arrow End fixing plates. A classic door thumb latch, hand forged from mild steel and finished with a black coating and a layer of beeswax. The quintessential look for a ledge and brace door. Co-ordinate with matching Arrow End T Hinges. Tip: The thumb latch handle will always be fitted to the side of the door opening away from you. The latch bar is fitted to the side opening towards you. Please take this into account if you are considering a Locking Staple, which is designed to be fixed to the latch bar side. Please note: Beeswax is used as a natural protective layer and can be sticky to touch. Excess wax can be removed with a mild solvent and a soft cloth.
