Evolving from punk, and other underground origins in the late 1970s, through to the 80s and 90s - Goths were influenced by bands such as The Damned, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Cure.They also weren't afraid to wear underwear as outerwear, and their clothing and makeup was as dark as the music they listened to.
