As gouda cheese ages, it develops milk crystallization deposits. This Marieke Gouda is creamy and extremely flavorful, a wonderful example of an aged Gouda. This version of Marieke Gouda cheese is aged two years, and has a slightly sweet, nutty flavor that becomes more complex as it ages on wooden shelves.
