When I was a child, every Saturday our family climbed up the mountain and my father sketched the mountain scenery while I played in the stream of a waterfall. On Sundays, the whole family usually went to the Orchid Garden in Guangzhou where they enjoyed the fragrant orchid tea. Orchid was my father's favorite flower, he grew a variety at home. Dancing lady orchid was really special to him. He told me it took a lot of care for it to bloom, like everything we care about in life. The Chinese character on the pot means Grace. There is a green moss agate stone next to the Orchid pot. Moss Agate is a stone of new beginnings. Refreshes the soul and enables you to see the beauty in all you behold.
