In preparation for shooting Vamp, the 1986 cult film in which she played Katrina, Queen of Vampires, Grace Jones's body and face were painted by the American pop artist Keith Haring. Jones sported Haring's instinctive primary lines on her skin, making her resemble a tribal queen in ritual dress, white patterns marking the flow of energy in her body.
