SHOP DISPLAY The first SR80 model was built in 1991 and is the longest running Grado headphones - Literally hundreds of thousands of listeners have bought SR80s. The new SR80x model delivers a step up in performance from the SR60x model, with specially treated driver diaphragms and a higher quality connecting cable that help deliver deeper bass and smoother treble. The Grado SR80x are open back headphones and deliver dynamic performance with superb detail and deep powerful accurate bass. The new more powerful magnetic circuit has been redeveloped to ensure a more accurately symmetrical movement of the voice coil while any resonance between the housing and the driver has been even further reduced along with a stronger yet lighter bonding glue for a greater life expectancy. The cables and headband have been redesigned and improved. The more durable exterior houses a 4 conductor cable which features super annealed copper wire for improved purity of the audio signal. There's more cushion to the headband to give a more comfortable feel and fit.
