The Grafton is Freenote's take on a classic cropped work jacket — with a button front, two roomy pockets, a flat hem, and side-tab adjusters at the hips. It pulls details from a number of different places, with the double-front pockets inspired by vintage hunting jackets, a silhouette that borrows from mechanics jackets, and Freenote's usual workwear construction throughout. It's made from a soft, dense, and warm wool blend flannel fabric with a cotton plaid lining through the body. Clocking in at 10oz, it's a little stiff at first and will break-in with wear, relaxing into the shape of the wearer's body. It's a fantastic layering fabric, insulating well and keeping wind out, but not so heavy that you can't wear it during the warmer months, too. Everything closes up with tonal corozo nut fisheye buttons, which will develop a handsome (but subtle) patina over time along with the fabric. Fits true to size with a slightly cropped torso.
