Grammoluce is a table lamp with diffused light that transforms light into a physical, almost living experience. The switching and dimming system is unique: the light is switched on and modulated by the weight of three satin-finish glass spheres, which are placed on the surface of the lamp. The spheres, which vary in diameter and weight, act on an elastic Lycra fabric stretched over the circular edge of the borosilicate glass structure. When placed on the lamp, the fabric deforms, creating a soft, dynamic surface that diffuses the light evenly and in ever-changing ways. The number and weight of the spheres that are placed on the fabric change the intensity and hue of the light emitted by exploiting an LED source with dynamic white: with light weights it is more delicate and warm, adding spheres the light becomes stronger and colder.
