GRAMPS socks are fun to knit and combine 2 of my favourite techniques of working with colour: simple stranded 1x1 colourwork and slipped stitch knitting. The majority of the socks (leg and foot) are worked using a slipped stitch technique which creates fun vertical stripes and uses only one colour per round. The bottoms of the heels and toes are worked in simple 1x1 stranded colourwork that will add extra durability to your socks. All the pattern measurements are given for fingering / sock weight yarn, however the pattern contain tips and suggestions on how to adjust it for any other yarn weight.
