Despite the enormous popularity of grapefruit notes in perfumes (usually through the use of Methyl Pamplemousse), the essential oil is less often seen in mainstream scents though m asterpieces such as Bleu and Égoĩste by Chanel both incorporate the natural oil and Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue has 1%. This grapefruit oil from the United States is robust and rich. Oftentimes grapefruit can be disappointingly thin but Payan Bertrand once again has perfected the extraction process and this oil is outstanding. Because this is American oil, it has far less of the bitterness associated with European grapefruit oils. It blends beautifully with our Pomelo Grandis base, Methyl Pamplemousse and Thiocineole when an extra bitter note is wanted.
