The Serpent Embrace Ring is a sterling silver ring built from a serpent whose scaled body coils around the band and closes on a large faceted oval stone at the center. The head rises directly above the stone with its hood spread wide, so the snake appears to be guarding what it holds. The coils are cut scale by scale along their whole length and come over the shoulders of the band, which sets the stone inside the embrace rather than above it. The serpent has stood for renewal and protection since antiquity, used here as a symbol rather than as a religious piece.
