Here’s the tale behind the story. As an artist growing up, I always felt a desire to create. One day, my mom and I talked about collaborating on a book. However, as my mom fell ill with pancreatic cancer, that dream began to fade. I frequently shared my thoughts with her about creating something that would help children recognize their worth. As time passed, my mom recounted a story about a grasshopper that appeared at her window and the feelings it evoked within her. Just weeks before her passing, the grasshopper disappeared. I discovered that grasshoppers only leap forward, and in that moment, I realized this would be the story we would write together. Thank you for allowing me to share this journey with you!
