It is to connect with USB and the power button is tactile, if you keep your finger on it it will change the in tensity of the light. The Crystal and its golden support is not glued to the base and is shipped with them two separated (there is still the cable linking them) to avoid the rod in the back to have too much tension and have less risks of breaking during the shipment.
