All living things are bound together; when the will for death is both abundant and focused, a Death Elemental will hear the call and will often manifest when an entire civilization wishes for an end to life. At other times, it will appear when there is a sudden and great loss of life, summoned by the remnants of the souls passing on still screaming out for justice. Regardless of the circumstances around its summoning, its existence is fueled by the souls of thousands. For as long as they have the will to sustain it, the Death Elemental will hunt down their tormentors and repay barbarism with oblivion. If a standard Death Elemental is the collective scream of a dying world, a Greater Death Elemental is the suffocating, eternal silence that follows.
