The Green Scapular (also called The Badge of the Immaculate Heart of Mary) is a devotional article approved by Pope Pius IX in 1870. The Green Scapular is used to ask God for a phy sical healing or spiritual conversion through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin. The string is approximately 36cm long. The Green Scapular comes packaged with an information leaflet. To use it, a priest must bless it, and it should be given with faith to someone who is experiencing spiritual or physical struggles, with the accompanying prayer, “Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death”.
