Hand painted jigsaw puzzle piece Ponderosa Pine bark collected from the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, CA. 26”x 34” These jigsaw puzzle shaped pieces of bark help to pr otect from environmental threats such as insects and a low-intensity, surface fire. In January of 2025, the wildfires in Southern California and the devastating aftermath were on my mind. While working on the piece, I added ash to represent the loss.
