GREENGREEN is the second EP by South Korean K-pop group CORTIS, released on May 4, 2026 through BIGHIT Music (Republic Records/Universal Records). CORTIS — comprising members Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho — debuted in August 2025 as the third act on Big Hit Music following BTS and Tomorrow X Together, and their debut EP Color Outside the Lines had already made history as only the second K-pop debut album to surpass two million sales on the Circle Chart. GREENGREEN arrived nine months later with pre-orders exceeding 2.39 million copies before release, and first-week sales of 2.31 million copies confirmed a second consecutive double-million seller. The album's central concept is built on a binary contrast: "GREEN" represents freedom, instinct, and forward momentum — what CORTIS pursues — while "RED" represents uncritical trend-chasing, performed coolness, and the hunger for external approval — what they refuse. As member James explained to The Korea Times, the idea originated from word play: "I hit 'green' while playing with rhymes, then expanded it out to 'red' and developed it with the producers."The six-track, 16-minute EP was a deeply collaborative effort — four of its six songs are co-written and co-composed by all five members, and the group also served as co-directors of the music videos and co-choreographers of the performances. Sonically, as InMusic described it, the record "leans heavily into distortion, clipped structures, and aggressive tonal shifts, prioritizing momentum over polish" — a volatile mix of hip-hop, trap, and K-pop maximalism that rarely pauses across its runtime. Opener "TNT" establishes the record's explosive energy immediately; title track "REDRED" — pre-released on April 20 and already surpassing 28 million Spotify streams by mid-May — anchors the project with raw synthesizer sounds and a repetitive, catchy rhythm; "ACAI" was inspired by the members' shared daily habit of eating acai bowls during the recording sessions; "YOUNGCREATORCREW" reflects on the weight of the group's own self-chosen descriptor; and closing track "Blue Lips," originally written by Martin during his trainee days, deals with wounds and dreams. Forbes described the group as "clearly showing teamwork and direction as a next-generation global artist," noting that each of the six tracks carries a distinct sound and mood.
