The “Greengrocer” and “Yellow Monday” morphs appear most frequently, while the “Masked Devil” and “Blue Moon” cicadas are less common. Color morphs result from genes rather than environmental factors. Despite their drastically differing appearances, all morphs can interbreed, as they are all the same species.
