If you're an intermediate knitter looking to tackle more complex projects, this workshop is for you! In this three-part workshop, we'll work through "A Simple Sock" pattern by instructor Lili Tobias. You will learn how to: Use the magic loop knitting technique Optionally learn the two-at-a-time sock knitting technique! Make a heel flap and turn the heel Pick up stitches Shape with decreases Grafting using Kitchener Stitch Follow a sock pattern Due to the slow nature of knitting, you likely will not finish the sock during class hours. However, we will cover all of the trickiest parts, and you'll be well-prepared to finish on your own! Please note that this class moves at a fast pace and is the most advanced knitting class that we offer. Please call or email the shop if you aren't sure if this class is right for you. This is an advanced level knitting workshop. We also encourage you to take at least one Knitting 101, 102, and 103 class before taking this class or have equivalent experience. We also recommend that you come into class having using DK weight or thinner yarn on at least one project. Jumping straight from only using super bulky yarn to sock weight yarn can be challenging! This is three-part workshop taking place on the following dates: Tuesday 9/15 6:30-8:30pm Tuesday 9/22 7pm-8pm (Please note: This session will take at The BCC Annex, our event space down the street from our shop at 37 Greenpoint Ave) Tuesday 9/29 6:30-9:30pm **You will be assigned knitting homework to complete between sessions!** Class Details Date: select start date above (this is a three-part workshop; students must be available for all three sessions-- see above for details)Location: We have two locations in Greenpoint, Brooklyn: The BCC Shop at 165 Greenpoint Ave, and The BCC Annex 37 Greenpoint Ave #105. She also enjoys collecting yarn and fabric that may or may not be turned into something cool eventually.
