Gretsch 5X14 Solid Aluminum Snare Drum Aluminum shells are known for their dry, focused attack with minimal overtones. The 3mm reinforced shell takes those tonal properties to anot her level. Shell exteriors have the classic center Gretsch knurling pattern, are not plated but instead finished with a light coat of lacquer.
