A check pattern has been applied on the interior of this bowl, a heavy speckle from the gritty clay beneath shining thru. Rim is a solid grey and glaze allowed to drip on the exter ior. Bowl has been squared and the base is left unglazed. Would be lovely as part of a serving set for a platter (think dip) or even as a breakfast bowl.
