The soft English leather has been treated with a leather balsam immediately prior to us sending it out in the post ready for you to put straight on your pooch. I have been lovingly handmade from veg tan English leather, so therefore I am very durable and if well looked after will last many years. To keep me looking good, here are some tips; Use a warm damp cloth to remove any excess dirt or grease. If I get really wet, leave me to dry naturally in an airy environment, once dry apply the leather balsam. Use a leather conditioning cream or balsam a couple of times throughout the year. Clean my buckles regularly. Do not use me in sea water. We can offer a guarantee with proof of purchase up to a year but not if it has been in sea water or been continually wet. The leather is vegetable tanned so uses less chemicals than other leathers during the dye process, therefore better for the environment. All leather is sourced from the UK, either from a tannery in Devon or one another UK company that only supplies leather hides that are a bi-product from the meat industry and never rare animal hides. All hides used are cow hides. Please note these collars are handmade and therefore each is unique, for example, slight variances in sizes from the measurements as displayed above.
