The inspiration behind Grid Lock explores the layered elements that provide the underlying structures in contemporary cities through the use of three distinct pile heights. The sense of order created with perpendicular and vertical lines allows the viewer to understand the multiplicity of actions present within everyday transits, parallel in effort but contrasting in scale and intensity.
