This 5-panel set of PK360-specific GrillGrates(tm) consists of 5 interlocking panels that form a highly conductive cooking surface that sits right on top of the standard stainless cooking grid of your PK360 Grill. The magic is in the raised rails which rapidly transfer heat upward to cook foods fast and evenly, like an infrared cooker. While your PK360 is designed to eliminate flare-ups when cooking with the capsule lid closed, GrillGrates(tm) add an extra layer of security by blocking flare-ups while the lid is open. This function is great for cooking steaks at very high temps, offering a steak house quality sear. GrillGrates(tm) are made of hard anodized aluminum, which conducts heat more efficiently than cast iron or stainless steel.
