Grimm's Annual Celebration Ring This rainbow coloured celebration ring is a lovely way to chart the calendar year with your family. Each of the 12 segments represents a month of the year and has five slots - one for the month and four for the weeks. As time marches on, move a candle or marble around the ring, or add a new one to it. You can also place a decorative figure or larger candle in the central bowl. Please note that the marbles and the circular disc shown in pictures 2 and 3 are not included but can be purchased separately. The Grimm's annual ring is 38cm across and is made with FSC limewood and finished with non-toxic, water-based colour stain. Candles measuring 1.4cm in diameter will fit the candle holders required for this ring. Important Safety notice. This item is NOT a toy: As with all naked flames care must be taken when using candles with Grimm’s celebration rings. Candles should never be left unattended or allowed to burn down or placed near to decorative wooden figures. Slot in candles and colourful numbers, letters and characters into the holes that are relevant to the special event and can be used as a discussion point for your family. For each birthday, add a candle and a new personalised ornament and, as the years pass and the slots become filled with candles, move the ornaments into the centre. You needn’t hide your Grimm’s celebration ring away, only bringing it out for parties: these traditional decorations can also be used throughout the year as a centre piece on your dinner table. Twelve-hole rings can be used to mark each passing month, and seven-hole rings can be used to count down to the weekend.
