Grow Gadgets Heavy Duty Timer & Contactor. A clever, simple & cost-effective timer specifically designed for LED Grow Lights. From the boffins at Grow Gadgets, a name already stitched into the fabric of serious grow rooms across the UK, this timer isn’t just another plug-in gadget. It’s a purpose-built powerhouse, engineered for one job — controlling grow lights, specifically powerful HID and LED drivers, with bulletproof reliability and zero drama. No Contactor Required Accurate Timing for Grow Rooms & Tents Perfect for LED Grow Lights Made for UK Power Sockets No Wiring Required Plug & Play Built To Take The Heat. Most domestic timers tremble at the thought of handling high-intensity discharge (HID) lights or heavy-duty LED drivers. They’re about as useful as a chocolate teapot once you throw 600 watts at them. That’s why growers have traditionally had to buy separate contactors — an extra expense, an extra tangle of wires, and an extra point of failure. Not anymore. The Grow Gadgets Heavy Duty Timer is built differently. It handles inductive loads up to 600 watts directly — no additional contactor required. That means fewer components, less faffing about, and a more streamlined, plug-and-play experience. It's simplicity with muscle. Simply plug the light into the timer and plug that directly into the mains. Total Lighting Control. Inside this neat little unit is a 96-point mechanical timer, giving you up to 96 on/off events every 24 hours. That’s a potential change in state every 15 minutes, which is more than enough for even the most specific light cycles. Need an 18/6 light schedule during vegetative stages? Done. Flipping to a strict 12/12? No problem. The twist-dial interface is satisfyingly analogue — intuitive, no menus, no Bluetooth syncing nonsense — just set it and forget it. You plug your light into the Grow Gadgets Heavy Duty Timer, plug that into the wall, twist the dial to set the current time, push down the pins for the hours you want power, and you’re off to the races. You don’t need to be an electrician. You don’t even need to be especially clever. It just works. Rugged. Ready & Water Resistant. Now, let’s talk about the environment this thing’s built for. Grow tents and rooms aren’t the kindest places for electronics. There’s moisture, humidity, dust, stray splashes, and enough heat to make a sauna blush. Thankfully, the Grow Gadgets Heavy Duty Timer doesn’t just survive in these conditions — it thrives. With a robust splash- and dust-resistant cover, this timer is designed to stay operational no matter what your room throws at it. The moulded UK plug fits standard sockets, and the entire unit is built to withstand the kind of abuse most household timers would faint at the thought of. Perfect For LED & HID Grow Lighting. Let’s be clear — this timer isn’t just “compatible” with HID and LED systems. It’s designed for them. HID lighting, especially older magnetic ballasts, can deliver sharp power spikes on startup. If your timer’s not up to the job, it’ll either trip, melt, or simply refuse to work. The Grow Gadgets Heavy Duty Timer shrugs all that off. Its internal switching is made to handle inductive loads reliably, cycle after cycle, week after week. Whether you’re powering a 600W HPS, a high-draw LED driver, or even something like a heat mat or fan that needs precision control, this timer is the one-stop solution. Control Is Everything. The Grow Gadgets Heavy Duty Timer isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel. It’s just making one that doesn’t buckle under the pressure. It’s for the grower who wants to do things properly — with precision, safety, and minimal faff. No additional gear. No contactors. No confusion. Just a simple, rock-solid way to control your light cycles with confidence. And at this price, it’s a no-brainer. So, take control of your timing. Trust in the Grow Gadgets Heavy Duty Timer — because in the world of indoor growing, control isn’t optional… it’s everything. Trustpilot
