The whey protein in Growth Matrix has been extensively treated with enzymes (hydrolysed), which makes it far easier to absorb into the bloodstream. Hydrolysed whey protein is simply whey protein that is already partially digested, which as a result, absorbs faster into the bloodstream. In effect, we take out the middle man in the body's digestion by partially breaking the bonds linking amino acids by treating the whey with enzymes. We then add the BCAA L-leucine , followed by fast acting carbohydrates in the form of glucose polymers.
