Designed by Grumpys rod builder Bob Hryszko, the Sandstorm series is built with quality Fuji components, including tangle-free Fuji K-Guides, a locking-ring reel seat to help keep your reel locked down, and x-patterned heat shrink handles over cork tape for a comfortable, secure grip when the rod is wet, sandy, or covered in whatever fish slime you forgot was on your hands. The 7'10" Sandstorm is a one-piece, fast-action rod rated for 1/2 to 2 oz lures. It is made for light surf and back bay fishing, and is a perfect fit for fluke, schoolie striped bass, smaller plugs, bucktails, soft plastics, and tighter areas where a longer surf rod is just too much stick. The original 9' Sandstorm is a two-piece rod with an approximate 65/35 split, a moderate-fast action, and a 3/4 to 3 oz lure rating. This is the all-around beach rod in the lineup, built for tossing plugs, metals, bucktails, and other common surf presentations. The 10'6" Sandstorm is also a two-piece rod with an approximate 65/35 split, a moderate-fast action, and a 1 to 5 oz lure rating.
