This is Marker #1 in the northern Tangier Sound marking the start of the channel heading into the Wicomico River in Maryland. This was taken at sunset in September 2022 featuring n o shortage of wear, rust, and bird droppings. This buoy is affectionately known as Grunge Buoy.
