It features a Saber grind making it great for slicing and general-purpose use. The EDC Bowie knife's design lends itself to use as a hunting/skinning knife. The curved clip point of the blade can remove the skin from a carcass, while the belly of the blade is used for cutting meat, preserving the straight section for whittling. The patch knife-style handle is ergonomically shaped for a comfortable, sturdy grip.
