The Guard Load Arrestor with Galvanized Cable is a safety device designed to arrest a load in the event of a hoist failure. Suspending it next to a hoist (be sure not to hang the block from the hoist and always read the user manual) and connecting the cable to the load ensures that if the hoist brake fails, this device will kick in and arrest that load before it begins a rapid fall.
