The "Flute" part of its name was earned by its unique trait of holding newly opened flower buds for longer than usual, giving it a unique flute-shaped appearance. Growing 3-4 feet tall, it is recommended to grow Guernsey Flute™ Clematis in part shade locations and to keep the roots especially shaded.
