It is limited to 100 sets on hand made paper of which 74 sets are for sale & this is copy no 40.Clamshell case containing 31 leaves in total and an original printing plate. Clamshell case bound in 3/4 green Morocco cream paper covered boards and green linen inner lining; gold gilt lettering stamped to the spine. Out of the 31 leaves, 27 are illustrations printed from the original plates, with the remaining leaves being comprised of an introduction and publication information. All leaves printed on handmade paper with deckled edges. The engraved plates are composed of 12 hand-coloured plates, 5 maps, 4 head pieces, 4 tail pieces and two title-vignette. Show more
