Gilly’s Gun Polish is a fast-drying finishing wax designed to protect and enhance both timber and metal surfaces. Rich in carnauba wax and beeswax, it creates a hard, durable, high-sheen finish that helps maintain and protect firearms and other polished surfaces. The soft, easy-to-apply formula spreads smoothly and hardens quickly, allowing you to buff to a glossy, protective layer in minutes. It helps reduce the appearance of fingerprints and marks, while providing a barrier against wear, moisture, and environmental exposure. Suitable for use on both gun stocks and metal components, Gun Polish is ideal for maintaining a clean, polished finish while helping extend the life of your equipment. Use for Firearm stocks and barrels Maintaining polished metal surfaces Workshop tools and equipment Application Surface Preparation Ensure the surface is clean and dry before application. Timber needs to be previously waxed or oiled before application. Not suitable for raw timber. How to Apply Dip a clean, lint-free cloth and spread sparingly over the surface, in a circular motion. Buff back vigorously with a soft, lint-free cloth or buffing pads. Use up to three coats, buffing well between each coat. Allow 20 - 30 minutes between coats. Dry Time 20 minutes provided excess is wiped away. Maintenance Depending on wear, apply if the waxed area becomes dull or faded. Clean Up Warm, soapy water for hands or cloth. Excess wax on timber; dampen a cloth with d-Limonene or mineral turpentine.
