Size: 54" x 70" (137cm x 178cm).The Guthrie Throw was designed by Charlie Sheppard, a British artist based in London whose practice spans mosaic, sculpture, installation and illust ration. Charlie's whole practice is around finding the loose and organic within a form that's traditionally rigid - mosaic done his way, with a naive, playful energy that sits somewhere between ancient craft and contemporary art. The Guthrie Throw looks like a mosaic that's been blown apart and reassembled by hand - irregular fragments in burnt orange, dusty lavender, warm brown, amber, soft blue and deep plum, all outlined in pale lilac against cream. Every Slowdown Studio throw starts as an original artwork. We collaborate with independent artists around the world to translate their creativity into woven form. Show more
