GWF-39 – Three Wounded PCDF By 1918, four years of warfare had left vast sections of France scarred by trenches, shell holes and the remains of countless battles. GWF-39 – Three Wounded PCDF places the emphasis on three of the men caught within that landscape. The larger three-figure grouping is particularly useful for building a casualty collection point or medical vignette. Combined with the other wounded releases, collectors can create a substantial scene showing soldiers at different stages of evacuation. Alternatively, distribute the three figures individually throughout a larger battle. Doing so can subtly communicate the intensity of the fighting without turning the entire display into a casualty scene. Their presence works especially well alongside advancing troops: while some soldiers continue forward, others have already paid the price of the attack. Available through The Military Workshop – a substantial three-figure John Jenkins Designs wounded poilu set adding both realism and emotional weight to a French Western Front collection.
