G W O R ~ as in ‘gwor did you see that?!”… well, kind of, we just wanted a model & name reminiscent of the power and passion of the early 80s. And it just so happens that in the same year (1984) Gonz featured on the cover of ‘Thrasher’ Magazine performing a “beanplant”, Occy burst on to the world surfing scene soaring to the top of the ASP ratings. So one might say we made a baby out of gonz and occy… ewww! But no denying it, these guys, and this era inspired the latest in our ‘Contemporary-Retrospective’ Collection. The board has a flat deck, with forward thickness for float + paddle power. Full, slight chine low-apex rails with period honouring hard edge from nose to tail for drive + edge control. Relaxed entry rocker makes it quick off mark. Rolled vee in nose (to offset flatter rocker), in to flat under front foot, in to a belly channel through mid and vee out tail promotes both speed + release. A wider forward outline for paddle-ability, in to a straighter rail line through mid for drive, with hips for release + tighter turning arcs, and a wider, stable round square tail for planing speed. It’s all topped off with a wedged beak nose, 6oz deck, 80s inspired decals, and guaranteed hell-of-a-good time.
