This new rack fixes every issue from the old one: frame interference, mount alignment, and limited stroke and more! Built for serious off-roaders running oversized tires and long travel, this kit provides OEM+ reliability with the precision of a fully CNC-machined billet housing. This is the ultimate steering rack upgrade if you’re running big tires, lockers, and demanding terrain. A 3” lift alone does not require this option — choose stock length if you’re on factory or mid-travel arms. The shortened rack cannot be threaded to M24x1.5 (GX460, 2GFJ, 5G4R) alternative options for tie rods are available. The Tundra Outer Tie Rods have a different taper than the stock 4Runnner. The stock spindle needs to be reamed out with a 1:10 taper. We can service your spindles or you can purchase a reamed spindle from us.
