The profile is a classic Japanese style Gyuto, but it’s just a perfect example and shows why this profile is so popular. The edge radius, a gentle swoop that results in a perfect action on the board. A fine and consistent taper and a precision walkschliff grind. This will be an absolute joy to use. Aesthetically it’s a masterpiece. Rich in contrast with a mirror polish so perfect that you can help but gaze at it in awe. The hamon is a hazy, misty thing of beauty, sitting like a cloud in a mirror polished sky. Completed with a simple and yet stunning Tasmanian Blackwood and Ebony handle. Such a complimentary pairing. The blackwood features am incredible figure full of rings and with a gentle golden hue.
