We are proud to offer locally rescued hackberry. All of our wood comes from either storm damage or land development - situations where trees come down we aim to keep the logs out o f the grinder. Hackberry is known for it's 'black and white' grain pattern. In reality, the colors are a bit more muted, but the contrast is amazing. It is a great furniture making wood, is great for steam bending! This product accepts stain well and is easy to work with regardless of your carpentry skill.
