A thermoplastic elastomer, the SIMPLEX insert T PE-mid boasts a hardness of approx. 90 Shore A, making it an insert of medium hardness (comparable to the hardness of the rubber composition insert included in the 3202 series). Unlike conventional rubber mallets, this grey insert does not leave behind any undesired black marring. The oversized contact surfaces provide maximum protection during the gentle processing of workpieces with sensitive surfaces and also keep the housing from causing scratches on the surfaces.
