How it works: You reserve a Star Ranch Whole Beef Share Beef today with a $800 deposit. We reserve one of our premium old-world Braunvieh steers for your family. We will then contact you about the approximate turnaround for your beef and schedule a time for either a local delivery/meet up or to pick up your order at the ranch. The rest of the payment ($2,400) is due at the receipt of your beef. Total price all together comes to $3,200.00 We currently have enough beef in stock that turn around is typically 1-4 business days. When inventory is low we will resort back to communicating with our customers on expected harvest dates for approximate turnaround. A Half Beef includes: minimum 200 lbs (retail weight) of premium pasture-raised and grain-finished Braunvieh steer 40% Premium single animal sourced ground beef in 1 lb. packs (may include some hamburger patties depending on availability) 35% Savory cuts: i.e. … roasts, stew meat, cutlets, brisket, & ribs or tablitas 25% Steaks: i.e. Ribeye, New York Strip, Sirloin, Tenderloin Filets; & some of the following 'specialty cut steaks' (dependent on availability): delmonico steak, denver steak, skirt, flank, flat iron. Currently in stock! Freezer Space: This half share will require approx. 10 cubic ft. of freezer space. Packaging: All cuts are either vacuum sealed, plastic wrapped, or in chubs, and labeled. This is an old dual purpose breed originating in Switzerland known for producing quality meat and milk in the high altitudes of the Swiss Alps.
