As the name suggests, these are rooster capes and come from a different part of the rooster than the saddles do. These are excellent for flies where saddles would just be too much of a waste, and example would be popper tails or small deceiver or for lateral lines on Deerhair surf candies. There is a very large variety of length on these half capes with excellent feather count for the price. These capes also make perfect crab fly claws as they are slightly stiffer than saddles.
